It's like the guys at BAT are screwing with their commentariat for kicks with all the Starlets – and I love it. I wonder if someone got sick and tired of everyone fawning over anything German or Italian and decided to do something about it. If so, then I salute that person. If not, well, I salute the person who has the taste to see beyond Europe for classics.

I think they brought in another writer recently, and I think whoever it is has a thing for Japanese collector cars. Since they came on board the number of 'new-timer' Japanese classics has gone way up.

I personally love it. I think the controversy is fueling pageviews and they know it. The drama in the comment section of the TRD flared Starlet they posted first was epic. I've never seen it get so heated over there. Then they go and post a couple more Starlets!

A Starlet with a 4A-G of some sort would be my ultimate car. I want one SO SO badly.

I love the 'controversy'. I can't help but think it's like a brawl in a gentleman's sitting room: "I do say these unsightly, cheap Japanese cars are over running my classic car site," followed by a man with, slightly, less grey hair on his head: "I suppose the car is ok for the youngsters" before it just turns unto flashing waistcoats and monocles and commands from world war 1.

I'm just happy, or incredibly sad if the car prices follow, that classic Japanese cars are getting attention. The German and the Italians get too much attention I think.
